The challenge for the industry is… Staff shortages with suitable skills, tight margins and exposure to global incidents.

The things I like about my job are… People and relationships – my team, suppliers and clients.

And the frustrations… Email spam.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be a… Conservationist.

Qantas or Virgin? Both are very supportive of the agent.

My proudest moment was… When my son was given the award for ‘integrity’ at school. I cried, of course.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Next question, please.

I try to relax by…Having a glass of wine with my closest friends.

The last time I feared for my life… Being diagnosed with breast cancer last year. Happy to say I made it through this.

If I can, I always try to avoid… Negative people.

I really wish I had… An answer to world peace.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… Stop looking at the past, it has nothing new to tell you.

I don’t understand why… Anyone wouldn’t travel at any given opportunity.

My greatest weakness is… A great pair of heels.

And my greatest strength… Inner strength.

If I was prime minister I would… Ban live export.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Share half with loved ones and use half to help children and animals in need.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… Wonder Woman.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Galapagos Islands

My favourite holiday was… New York.
