The Ultimate Waterman
Australian big wave surfer and ocean adventurer Mark Visser has hisfeet firmly on New Zealand sand today on the eve off The Ultimate Waterman contest and is thrilled about the unprecedented swell Cyclone Pam will dish up.
Visser is one of eight invited athletes to take part in the first ever search to find the world’s best waterman. He’s up against other superstars of the water: Kai Lenny (HAW), Danny Ching (USA), Kala Alexander (HAW), Manoa Drollet (PYF), Georges Cronsteadt (PYF), Daniel Kereopa (NZL) and Connor Baxter (HAW).
Over eight days from 14-21 March they’ll travel New Zealand competing in six disciplines including shortboard surfing, longboard surfing, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) endurance and SUP surfing, waka-ama endurance and tow-in surfing.
