Sydney has an exciting brand new New Year’s Eve music festival,NYEInThePark, perfect for those who’d like some live music and dancing with their countdown. The new event is from the Falcona team behind the popular sold-out Wine Machine winery festivals around Australia. Time-travelling DJ sensation Hot Dub Time Machine will play the midnight set, where he will take audiences on a journey through “the best songs of all time“, chronologically from the 50s – 2017. Cult Sydney aerobics instructors Retrosweat will provide onstage entertainment throughout, with sets from Belgium’s 2mandydjs, Canada’s Tiga, Jurassic 5 superstar Chali 2NA, master UK turntablist Krafty Kuts, Sydney‘s all-singing all-dancing cover band Furnace & The Fundamentals, Aussie songstress Vera Blue, Northeast Party House, Running Touch, Total Giovanni and loads more across two stages.
NYEInThePark will make its debut in the expansive, lush green parklands of Victoria Park, with plenty of bars, including a VIP Champagne Deck. A fabulous selection of food options – worthy of the biggest party of the year! – will be on offer to partygoers, who can enjoy their selections lounging on the lush green grass of the Park. Gourmet burgers, sweet potato fries and spiked milkshakes are on the cards from Sydney’s favourite burger joint ChurBurger, while American BBQ street food will be dished up courtesy of the Eat Art Truck – a hybrid art gallery food truck. Also on offer at NYE in the Park is moorish Mediterranean cuisine from Greekstreet, pork belly Bao buns from the über-hip Japanese food truck TSURU, and a retro milk bar Sherri & Candy’s Milk Bar serving up ice-cream sodas and sundaes with a 1950s twist.
