New Australian Airlines uniforms

Australian Airlines will roll out new uniforms for its flight attendants in the lead-up to the airline’s third birthday celebrations in October.

AO ceo Andrea Staines said the design brief was to update the uniform to reflect the airline’s position as an established full-service carrier in the Asia Pacific region.

“The result is a uniform that is contemporary, relaxed and distinctively Australian to reflect the spirit of the international holiday airline and our flight attendants,” she said.

The uniform features a white shirt with ochre dots in a wave pattern in keeping with the aircraft livery.

The existing sand-coloured jackets will be replaced with a black trouser suit.

The flight attendant uniform features the same elements for male and female staff.

Staines unveiled the uniforms for the first time today during an AO media conference at the Australian Tourism Exchange in Perth.
