What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?

Ahh, Vegas. The entertainment capital of the world. It’s a fun place to be.

And Contiki sure made the most of their TTC Great Escape in Las Vegas with a party poppin, dance droppin, no stoppin itinerary.

Travel Weekly said ‘seeya later’ to our pals on the Trafalgar leg of the mega famil, and jumped straight into the mix with our first night onboard with the hottest youth travel brand in the world.

First stop was the wardrobe – you’ve got to look fresh when hitting Sin City – before heading out to dinner at Grand Luxe inside the stunning Venetian hotel. The ladies looked glamorous and the gentlemen did too, and what better time than to pose for a group photo in front of the world famous ‘Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas’ sign.

Fun fact, as told by our Tour Director, John: The woman who designed this notorious sign never trademarked it, instead gifting it to the city, which is why the sign has been reproduced on so many souvenirs and shops around the world.

The Contiki agents hopped back on the coach to do a tour of Las Vegas by night, with the Tour Director filling us in on trivia tidbits and essential info. The coach then dropped the agents off at Fremont St, a long strip away from the Strip that harks back to the original essence of Sin City, where people walk unperturbed by cars, watch some of the most fascinating street artists and listen to live cover bands rocking out for the crowds.

But after eyeing the tables, a cocktail or two and some dancing, it was time to board the coach and head to Palms where we would dance the night away in Ghost Bar.

The perfect rooftop bar to reunite all the TTC Great Escape brands – Insight Vacations, Trafalgar and Contiki – Ghost Bar is set back from the Strip, so agents enjoyed a glittering panoramic view over the mega city.

Day Two saw some agents relish in some Grand Canyon magic on an optional experience – a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon for a spot of lunch.

Agents had a day of leisure, wandering the Strip, exploring the themed and glitzy hotels, and venturing to the outlet stores for some retail therapy.

Then nightfall came, the dresses came out, and it was time to party once more. Dinner was at the Planet Hollywood restaurant in Caesars Palace, before agents were treated to a Cirque Du Soleil Show, Zarkana. The acrobats twirled and the entertainers wowed agents who witnessed some of the most impressive talents in the world in Aria Resort. Agents also had an opportunity to ride the High Roller, the biggest ferris wheel in the world, behind LINQ hotel, whenever they pleased.

But the party was far from over, and then agents were spoiled rotten with what Contiki features as an included experience for travellers: an exclusive limo ride down the Strip with champagne to boot.

The music was pumping and agents were hyped, because they were then greeted at Omnia nightclub in Caesars Palace by club promoter and personal friend of Contiki, Chris. Agents strutted their stuff and bypassed lengthy queues to get into the world famous nightclub – an experience only Contiki can provide – before being treated to a free drink and a night of incredible music from world class DJs.

But sadly, there was a limit on how long we could stay in Las Vegas, and the following morning the TTC Great Escape teams, Contiki included, boarded the coaches and made the trek to Los Angeles for some Creative Holiday fun!
