Weeks bids final farewell to The Travel Corporation

John Weeks has confirmed his resignation from The Travel Corporation after more than 16 years with the global travel group, effective April 30.

Weeks stepped down from his position as chief executive of TTC Australia last year, becoming non-executive chairman as former Flight Centre executive John Veitch took up the top job in August.

He said the decision to depart this latest role was due to his desire to focus on “other opportunities”.

“Having worked closely with John Veitch on his transition to CEO, this is an opportune time to step away, given he is now firmly at the helm and driving continued successful growth for TTC Australia.”

TTC chief executive Brett Tollman said the company was sorry to see Weeks leave.

“All of us at TTC thank John for his strong leadership, outstanding achievements and the legacy which he leaves with us,” he said.

“He will always be fondly remembered and appreciated for his 16 plus years with TTC.”
