Vox Group sets up shop in New Zealand

Map of New Zealand.

On the back of rapid growth of its Australasian business, Vox Group has opened a full-service operational office in New Zealand.

The New Zealand office will offer Vox’s full suite of services, including tour guide audio systems, destination application and smartphone technology, venue audio guiding and multi-language translation, and conferencing facilities.

A large stock of new devices has been delivered to the office for tour operators, attractions, cruises and shore excursion operators in New Zealand to use the technology.

Peter Smith, managing director of Vox Group Australasia, said: “We have had a fantastic response from the market in an incredibly short time and realised that we needed to grow our operations.

“I am delighted that the well-respected Francis Travel Marketing, which has over 15 staff and years of local industry experience, has joined our global team as Vox distributors.”

“Vox partners having cross-Tasman tours will now have fresh devices in both New Zealand and Australia, negating the need to take them from country to country.”

Vox Group’s expansion comes not long after its acquisition of cultural guiding provider Sycomore.
