Australia’s closest neighbour just introduced a new online visa process for travellers.

Papua New Guinea Immigration & Citizenship Authority announced the new electronic visa application (e-Visa) portal yesterday.

Which means you can now sort out all your visa requirements in one handy place.

Travellers can apply for the following visas via the portal:

  • Tourist 60 day (easy visitor permit 60) – Available for tourists to PNG from nationalities who currently have access to Visa on Arrival (see link below)
  • Tourist 30 day (Easy visitor permit 30) – Available to Australian passport holders who are coming on holiday to PNG
  • Short Term Business visa – Business people who currently have access to Visa on Arrival
  • Aid Worker Volunteer visa
  • Journalist visa

But just in case your wi-fi connection is dodgy, Australian and New Zealand travellers are still eligible to apply for a Tourist Visa on arrival.
