Vanuatu values friendships

It is International Day of Friendship on 30 July and Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) is celebrating in the best way possible, by sending two friends to ‘discover what matters’ firsthand in Vanuatu.

Think you and your mate have what it takes to win? Then share a photo of a special moment between you and a friend, for the chance to create more special memories together in Vanuatu.

The photo could be of a new friendship, a friendship that has stood the test of time, or a special moment shared by a couple.

The competition opens on 1 August, 2016. To enter upload an image directly to the competition microsite www.discovervanuatu.com.au/competition or to Instagram, using the hashtag #discoverwhatmatters, by 28 August, 2016.

The top 20 images, as voted by the public, will then be shortlisted and judged by an industry panel, the two friends in the winning picture will then head off for some R&R in the tropical paradise of Vanuatu.

The top two friends will enjoy return international flights with Air Vanuatu, two return domestic flights to either Tanna or Espiritu Santo, four nights’ accommodation at Eratap Beach Resort on Efate, then two nights’ at Friendly Beach Resort on Tanna or Barrier Beach House on Espiritu Santo*.

The competition is part of a wider Vanuatu marketing strategy designed to rebuild destination awareness amongst Australian travellers and encourage them to take time out to “discover what matters” and find what has been in front of them all along.

The campaign also complements ongoing trade activity, including a recently launched trade website, www.vanuatuspecialists.com.au, online training, a famil incentive and travel agent roadshow.
