Uniworld announces plans for fifth “Super Ship”

Agents in love with river cruising (and well aware of the myths surrounding it) – it’s time to get excited.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection is adding a fifth ‘Super Ship’ to its award-winning fleet of floating boutique hotels.

In April 2018, the River Beatrice will be transformed into the S.S. Beatrice after an extensive bow-to-stern renovation.

The S.S. Beatrice will debut a fresh, sleek look with a graceful bow, redesigned lounge and an elegant grand staircase – a signature design element of Uniworld’s Super Ships. Additional dining venues will include a private space to replace the Captain’s Lounge and Library.

Two new Royal Suites measuring 375 square feet and an additional Owner’s Suite are being created. The ship’s 12 existing suites will be refreshed and Uniworld has added connecting rooms which are ideal for families travelling together.

Fiona Dalton, Managing Director of Uniworld Australia, said the company was pretty stoked to add yet another ship to their increasing fleet.

“We’re thrilled to re-launch the S.S. Beatrice as our first vessel to be upgraded to a Super Ship,” she said.

“Uniworld is committed to providing the utmost in luxury on the European rivers and following the successful launch of the S.S. Joie de Vivre earlier this year, we’re eager to introduce yet another remarkable super ship to our fleet.”

The design team from Uniworld’s sister brand, Red Carnation Hotels, will bestow their creative talents on the project to once again design a Super Ship that has things travellers didn’t know they needed.

All public spaces and rooms will be redesigned with meticulous craftsmanship and original artwork, as well as include the latest innovations and amenities available on the rivers.

The S.S. Beatrice’s maiden voyage will take place on April 4, 2018.
