Travellers Choice bombards top performers with prizes

The top performing agencies in the Travellers Choice network were recognised at an awards dinner as part of the group’s annual shareholder conference in Melbourne at the weekend, with the 30 winners to be rewarded for their efforts with a cruise along with sales incentives and service grants worth up to $1500 per agency.

The event, which took place at the five-star Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, saw 10 Travellers Choice members named in each award category, with winners determined by their level of support for the national retail group’s broad stable of preferred suppliers.

As part of their prize, Silver Choice Award recipients will head off in March on a five-night Sapphire Princess cruise from Singapore to Thailand, with visits to Ko Samui and Bangkok as guests of The Cruise Team and Princess Cruises.

In April, Celebrity Cruises will take Bronze Choice Award winners on an eight-night South Pacific journey onboard Celebrity Solstice, visiting Lifou, Noumea and Isle of Pines.

The final journey will take Gold Choice Award winners to France in May where they will experience Scenic’s seven-night ‘Idyllic Rhone’ river cruise from Nice to Lyon.

All agencies receiving Choice Awards will also participate next year in exclusive sales incentives with selected suppliers. In addition, each will receive a grant of up to $1500 per agency, which can be put towards the cost of any Travellers Choice support service – including local area marketing activities, co-branded signage, stationery and uniforms, or the group’s recently expanded range of Digital Managed Services.

Chief executive Christian Hunter highlighted the past 12 months as “one of the most exciting periods” in the company’s history, with a third consecutive record profit and an NTIA win for Australia’s best travel agency group under its belt.

“As always, our network’s dedication to supporting preferred suppliers underpins our success, which is why our Choice Award winners deserve such memorable rewards and recognition,” he said.

“Their efforts have delivered benefits to the entire Travellers Choice group.”
