Travel Counsellors ride the wave of success

Stellar sales are just the tip of the iceberg for Travel Counsellors this year.

The company is riding the wave of impressive sales figures, off the back of strong repeat bookings and a jump of 14% for YTD sales figures for the last six months.

Along with the implementation of an internal sales challenge, the Australian market is looking good, with Travel Counsellors bucking the trend of many other travel agents by reporting strong sales growth.

Travel Counsellors agents have noted that cruising remains king as a holiday option for Aussies, with solid forward bookings for both ocean and river cruising taking up a large chunk of leisure travel bookings.

Repeat bookings for TC agents are sitting at 65%, indicating plenty of trust in the agency on the whole, while revenue continues to benefit from the values of personalised service and expertise offered by TC agents.

A popular internal sales challenge is further fuelling this sales growth, with teams of Travel Counsellors working together towards the reward prize of an all-inclusive incentive trip to Sabah.

And an uplift in sales isn’t the only by-product of this challenge, with increased interaction with other Travel Counsellors and more knowledge-sharing proving to be mutually beneficial for all involved in the challenge.

Travel Counsellors’ general manager for Australia Tracy Parkinson said the results so far this year are a reflection of the service TC agents provide.

“With repeat bookings at more than 65% year-on-year, it’s clear that our customers value the personalised service and expert advice that Travel Counsellors offer,” she said.

“Our clear directive to focus on delivering high quality service to our clients, coupled with full financial protection and the ability to book a wide range of travel products through Phenix (our unique in-house quote and book system) is proving to be a winning formula for the business and one we envisage will continue to be profitable well into the future.”
