Timmer to depart Insight Vacations

Timmer to depart Insight Vacations
By admin

Insight Vacations managing director Joost Timmer will depart the The Travel Corporation (TTC) in January after four years in the role.

A TTC statement said Timmer was leaving to “pursue other opportunities” with his last day to be January 15 2016.

“After four enjoyable and successful years heading up Insight Vacations in Australia it has been a difficult decision to make,” Timmer said in the statement.

“It has been a great experience working with a team of outstanding people at this prestigious well respected global brand.”

TTC Australia chief executive John Veitch said the company would be “extremely sorry” to see Timmer leave.

“Joost has been a huge asset to the organisation and made a tremendous contribution to the growth of Insight Vacations during his tenure including the building of a strong team, one of the best in the industry,” he said.

“We sincerely thank Joost and wish him all the very best for the future.”

His departure comes at a time of intense upheaval for TTC, following swiftly on from the news it would close its Creative Holidays brand after more than 30 years. The company is currently undergoing a restructure as it attempts to move staff affected by the Creative closure into other roles within the company.
