Throughout history, people across the world have used rather bizarre methods of currency.

Have you ever thought how our world would work if we used a different currency system other than money?

Today of course, there are methods of trading or exchanging goods that benefit both parties, but would you trade your laptop for some parmesan cheese?

While laptops did not exist in 12th century Italy, the parmesan cheese currency sure did. In fact, even in 2009 there were reports of parmesan cheese being used as collateral for farmers.
