The world is your office

The world is your office

No longer are we living in the days of the traditional nine ‘til five, hand-written travel industry.

Clients are increasingly looking for instant contact providing round-the-clock support, and simultaneously, agents are looking for opportunities for more freedom to work from different locations with flexible work hours.

Amadeus is addressing these changing desires with its latest technology, the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.

The industry’s first fully mobile online booking solution has been piloted by TravelManagers since June 2014, and its personal travel managers (PTM) have been providing feedback that has allowed Amadeus to fine-tune in an everyday business environment.

“I can work in the mornings and then head off to spend the afternoon at the beach. Now that I have changed over to Connect, it’s even better as it is not dependent on my personal laptop for accessibility, and enables me to specify the exact content, GDS and non-GDS, I want,” TravelManagers’ representative for East Perth, Carl Retschlag, said about his recent experience with the platform.

Previously, if a PTM’s computer failed while they were away from the office, they would have to rely on the National Partnership Office, or another PTM to take care of the client. Now all you need is a computer with an internet connection, and you have secure access via Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.

According to TravelManagers executive general manager, Michael Gazal, the level of mobility offered to PTMs by Amadeus Selling Platform Connect is far superior to any other online booking solution currently available in Australia.
