What do an actress, a singer, a photojournalist and a chef all have in common?

Well, they’re all part of Helloworld’s new Instagram campaign, rallying together to capture special moments that inspire travel.

Each of these characters are Instagram influencers participating in the world first #helloworldRELAY on September 27 to curate a visual story about global destinations, and get people’s wanderlust going.

Helloworld announced earlier this month that it is marking the United Nations World Tourism Day on September 27 2015 with an innovative social media initiative, hence the hashtag, and we personally can’t wait to meet the cool kids behind the Instagram goodness.

Helloworld has teamed up with 15 unique influential Instagrammers that will include Isabelle Cornish, Erin Holland, Laura Dundovic, Ben Lowy, Lauren Bath, Jewels Lynch, Garry Norris, Gavin Pickford, Geneva Vanderzeil, Caitlyn Paterson, Pauly Vella, Emma Lucey, Colin Roberts, Alex Moorehead and Steve Oates.

As the sun rises in each destination on World Tourism Day, the Instagrammers will commence posting images until the sun sets in their location. The party kicks off at sunrise in Samoa, the westernmost point of the earth, and unfurls across the world like a Mexican wave until it finishes at sunset in the Cook Islands 36 hours later.

The line-up of Instagrammers so far includes:

@garry_norris in Apia, Samoa (124,000 followers)

Gold Coast photographer and Instagrammer, Garry Norris, will have the honour of posting the first shot in the #helloworldRELAY when the sun rises in Samoa. Australian actress Isabelle Cornish will take on the challenge of UNESCO World Heritage site Machu Picchu with Geckos Adventures. A bucket list trip for many travellers, her journey will finish in Cusco 12 hours later as the sun sets.
