The list is in order of most used hashtag on Instagram – and has been popped on an epic interactive map where you can view photos of said hidden gems, plus how many hashtags scored them a spot on the list.
From hidden waterfalls to secret spots in National Parks, there’s bound to be a stunning Instagram shot in there somewhere.

- Moreton Island is the most instagrammed hidden gem in Australia – with the hashtag #MoretonIsland mentioned no less than 63,923 times on one of our favourite social media platforms, this place is surely worth a visit.

- 5 Aussie National Parks rank in the most instagrammed lesser-known destinations – these include Sydney Royal National Park, Undara Volcanic National Park, Kakadu National Park, Myall Lakes National Park and Carnarvon Gorge National Park.
