The most Instagrammed (and beautiful) places in Australia

Okay, we know you’re all obsessed with Europe, or Bali, or India – or basically anywhere that isn’t Australia. But this map will have you cancelling your international flights in minutes.

There’s nothing worse for an Instagram aesthetic than a ton of people in your snaps – and there’s nothing worse in real life than a crowded waterfall or “hidden” beach.

But don’t you worry, because Assured Removalists have collected a list of the most beautiful hidden gems in Australia – all underrated and off the beaten track.

The list is in order of most used hashtag on Instagram – and has been popped on an epic interactive map where you can view photos of said hidden gems, plus how many hashtags scored them a spot on the list.

From hidden waterfalls to secret spots in National Parks, there’s bound to be a stunning Instagram shot in there somewhere.

  • Moreton Island is the most instagrammed hidden gem in Australia – with the hashtag #MoretonIsland mentioned no less than 63,923 times on one of our favourite social media platforms, this place is surely worth a visit.
  • Go down under at Fish Rock Cave – this hidden treasure found in South West Rocks, NSW shows off some breathtaking underwater photographs
  • 5 Aussie National Parks rank in the most instagrammed lesser-known destinations – these include Sydney Royal National Park, Undara Volcanic National Park, Kakadu National Park, Myall Lakes National Park and Carnarvon Gorge National Park.
