Travel agents can now offer clients the opportunity to choose from a range of new escorted rail journeys through Europe,.

Available down under through Travelmarvel, the new Great Rail Journeys 2016 brochure is the company’s first ever dedicated brochure for this travel format, and teams up with UK-based Great Rail Journeys.

Designed to capture the golden era of rail travel, Travelmarvel’s new program offers a choice of fourteen rail journeys covering the length and breadth of Europe.

Each itinerary is accompanied by a dedicated English speaking Tour Manager, who handle all elements of the tour, from ticketing to ensuring guests are personally guided to their platforms and seats, and liaising with the English speaking guides.

Also included in every journey is all premium centrally located accommodation, airport and hotel transfers and selected excursions, entrance fees, meals and sightseeing.

From travelling the Italian coastline to traversing the Alps, exploring Europe’s grand cities, seeing the Scottish Highlands or the splendour of Scandinavia and travelling Spain by train, Travelmarvel’s Great Rail Journeys offers something to suit all tastes.

Travelmarvel is featuring many of Europe’s most iconic trains and railways in its program: from the world’s slowest express train, the Glacier Express in Switzerland; to the art deco elegance of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express; and the West Highland Line in Scotland, whose Jacobite Steam Train starred as the Hogwarts Express in the famous Harry Potter films.

To celebrate the new program, Travelmarvel is offering an earlybird discount of $1000 per couple off all itineraries, which is available until sold out.

Some of the fresh departures include:

  • 9-day Edinburgh, the Highlands and Islandshighlights include a journey by train from Edinburgh to Glasgow, changing onto the West Highland Line to Oban, where guests catch a ferry over to the Isle of Mull to visit Duart Castle.
  • 15-day Top to Toe of Italy – travelling from Venice via Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Rome, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily, most travel is via first class rail. As well as exploring all of Italy’s must-see sights, you’ll also have the opportunity to journey around Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active Volcano, aboard the Circumetnea train.
  • 9-day The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express – Travel by first class rail from Paris to Milan and Venice, taking in all the sights before transferring for a final night aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express back to Paris.
