Pizza at Pullmans
Pullman Magenta Shores Resort has unveiled a new addition to its restaurant offering with the opening of Shallows Bar – a relaxed and casual all day alfresco dining experience overlooking the golf course.
The fully renovated contemporary space features all new furnishings and lounges and boasts a Wood Fired Pizza Oven on the outdoor terrace which is complemented by a Mediterranean-style pizza menu from Executive Chef Paul Clune.
Spring will see the launch of an extensive Grill menu which will sit alongside the restaurant’s Tapastry menu, as designed by Pullman Culinary Ambassador, Justin North.

Outrigger Fiji boasts best spa
Bebe Spa Sanctuary at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort has continued to collect accolades, being named International Spa Design of the Year in the prestigious Pevonia Awards.
It is the fourth time Bebe Spa has been named Pevonia Oceania Spa Design of the Year, having previously won the award in 2010, 2011 and 2014.
The spa was also named 2015 Winner for Excellence in TripAdvisor’s annual survey of spas in the Australasia-Pacific region.
Bebe contains eight open air treatment rooms with four of the treatment rooms containing sunken spa baths which overlook a coral reef.
Massage treatments available include the Bebe Vakaviti Signature Massage which unites traditional Fijian massage techniques with an ancient Hawaiian massage style.
IHG ‘accelerates’ its promotion
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the upcoming launch of its ‘Accelerate’ promotion, which offers IHG® Rewards Club members the opportunity to earn IHG Rewards Club bonus points faster than ever.
IHG Rewards Club members who register for the ‘Accelerate’ promotion will receive personalised and tailored offers. Once each offer has been achieved, IHG Rewards Club bonus points are earned automatically, bringing them closer to the next IHG Rewards Club membership level.
IHG Rewards Club is also offering special rewards to non-members who join IHG Rewards Club and enrol in the promotion. These members will be awarded one free night at any IHG hotel, anywhere in the world, by booking and completing just two separate stays at any IHG hotel brand. If they do it again, they’ll receive two free nights – perfect for a weekend getaway.

Oaks Elan Darwin opens

Sofitel gets artsy
Sofitel Luxury Hotels is launching a compelling photo exhibition “Revealed” to provide an intimate look at the world’s greatest modern artists at work, with the first exhibit in Australia commencing at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth during December.
The free exhibition has been curated by Olivier Widmaier Picasso, grandson of Pablo Picasso and author of Picasso, Portrait Intime (Albin Michel/Arte éditions), with 30 hand-selected photographs from the archives of Paris Match, the famous French weekly magazine.
This worldwide exhibition will be on show at three Sofitel hotels in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne from September. The exhibitions are part of a world tour that has already been to six cities in North America and five in Europe as well as China and Bangkok.
