Australia’s new one-stop guide to the best restaurants, cafes and bars for every state and territory has officially arrived.
The Good Food Guide 2018 is here – and it’s set to expand beyond New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and shine a spotlight on the must-visit dining destinations across Western Australia, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and Tasmania.
The Good Food Guide will – for the first time –visit capital cities in every Australian state and territory – from Darwin, Hobart, Sydney and Melbourne to Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.
On sale later this year, the expanded Good Food Guide will be an all-encompassing national “bible” of reviews, revealing the restaurants across the nation that have been awarded a prestigious hat.
“Our defining strength, and the reason why people trust the Good Food Guide, is the independence of our critics,” said Good Food Guide 2018 co-editor Myffy Rigby. We’re stringent when it comes to judging. That means we look at service, ambience, X-factor, and – most importantly – food, to award those all-important hats.”
“It will be really exciting to see new names and restaurants from all around Australia become hatted when the Guide is published later this year,” added Good Food Guide 2018 co-editor Roslyn Grundy.
“We’re broadening the Guide’s scope, content and circulation to meet our readers’ hunger for critical and reliable food reviews across the country.”
The Good Food Guides have long been Australia’s leading, most-trusted restaurant review guides, compiled by respected independent critics and edited by Myffy Rigby and Roslyn Grundy. Reviewers always visit anonymously and all meals are paid for to ensure credibility and objectivity.
“The Good Food Guide retains the features readers have always loved — reviews of restaurants, cafes, bars, and cheap eats — and greatly expands the interstate coverage, making the Guide the trusted source of information about where to find the best – and hatted – venues in every capital and beyond,” said Myffy Rigby.
The national Good Food Guide 2018 will retail for $29.95.
