Sydney BridgeClimb takes out TripAdvisor’s best Aussie experience
The Sydney BridgeClimb has taken out the top spot in TripAdvisor’s first ever Travellers Choice Awards for experiences in Australia!
Better still, it also came in as number four globally!
BridgeClimb began operation on 1 October 1998 and has submitted 4 million climbers from over 140 countries since, including celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Jamie Oliver.
The announcement comes just a week after Sydney Harbour Bridge tourism changed hands for the first time since its opening when the Roads and Maritime Services announced BridgeClimb had been unsuccessful in its bid to win a new 20-year contract.
Hammons Holdings, owner of Scenic World in the Blue Mountains, was appointed as the new operator of Sydney Harbour Bridge tourism.
Winners of the Traveller’s Choice categories were determined using an algorithm that took into account a business’s reviews, opinions and popularity with travellers over the last year.
Here’s TripAdvisor’s ranking for Australia’s top ten experiences:
1.Sydney BridgeClimb – Sydney, New South Wales bookable from $168
Scale new heights by experiencing Sydney atop the Harbour Bridge with this often sold-out tour. Climb up a steady incline, traverse catwalks and ladders, and be rewarded with panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour and Sydney Opera House. “Absolutely loved the whole experience.
