Rhapsody’s last farewell

Rhapsody’s last farewell

After eight years of calling Australia home, Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas makes her final Sydney call.

The 78,000 tonne superliner who has carried over 290,000 passengers in its mega eight years has farewelled Sydney for the last time.

The news of the ships’ last docking and departure on April 17, sparked a petition by locals to keep her in Australia.

Rhapsody of the Seas has hosted many celebrities, and has carried countless international tourists to Australian shores.

This news comes just after Royal Caribbean’s announcement on April 15 that their newest ship, the billion dollar Ovation of the Seas, will be based in Sydney in 2016.
