New research has uncovered the best destinations for first-time travellers, along with the best-suited places for those looking to embark on their first trip with their kids.

Travel fare aggregator website and travel metasearch engine Skyscanner has compiled top 10 lists for each based on flight cost, average spend in destination, safety, and distance.

For travelling with kids, Skyscanner also considered family-friendly attractions and access to quality healthcare in choosing the top 10.
