Roy Morgan’s Travel Agent Monitor Report has revealed when it comes to the complexities of overseas travel, most Australians turn to travel agents for booking their trips and sorting the ins and outs of their itineraries.

42.5 per cent of Aussies aged 14 and over used a travel agent on their last overseas trip.

This is much more than online travel booking websites, which the research revealed was used by only 15.5 per cent of travellers.

While travellers are still using agents for bookings, Aussies are increasingly turning online for researching their trips.

The Roy Morgan Travel Agent Monitor Market Indicator Report revealed TripAdvisor as the number one website for Aussies planning holidays.

15.7 per cent of Aussies aged 14 an over visited the site in an average four weeks.

Booking.com and Qantas were the second and third most visited with 13.6 per cent and 13.5 per cent respectively.
