PICTURES: Japanese Airlines launches 1,639 paper planes into the air

New employees of Japan Airlines have thrown more than 1,600 paper aeroplanes into the sky to celebrate their new jobs.

Personally, we prefer to celebrate new employees by throwing back champagne and eating from fancy cheese platters, but each to their own.

Over 1,600 people from 33 companies within the Japan airlines group gathered in a hanger in Haneda Airport for an initiation ceremony, reports The Daily Mail.

The celebrations included a visit from the group’s new president Yuji Akasaka who took over from Yoshiharu Ueki this month.
