Caption: On 30 April 1961, Eastern used Super Constellations to inaugurate its Air Shuttle service. Progressively replaced by Lockheed Electras Boeing 727-100s and Douglas DC-9-30s, the Super Constellation was retained as back-up aircraft unit withdrawn on 14 February 1968, thus ending its career with major carriers.
