Peregrine Adventures has launched a range of limited edition tours, catering to travellers who want a niche experience during their tour.

The tours will touch on archaeology, literature, wildlife and food.

“Our travellers want to combine special interests that they might have with their journey,”Peregrine Adventures general manager Robyn Nixon said.

Trips include the Jaipur literature festival and Kipling’s Bundi departing in January next year for 13 days. There’s also a 14-day Pyramids, Mummies and Pharaohs trip for 14 days and a nine-day Uganda Gorilla Expedition and Safari.

“We try to weave through two or three special moments. If you were on a vineyard in Argentina then you’d have a sommelier and tasting,” Nixon said.

Peregrine travellers want a considered and slower pace on their journey, they have the luxury of a little more time, Nixon said.

“They’d prefer to have the extra time for an in depth experience,” Nixon said.

“We have slowed our trips down, so you can immerse yourselves in the destination.”

“There is a city in Colombia called Medellin but equally famous is the flower festival. It is Colombia’s version of the Chelsea Flower Show and involves a huge fiesta with parade,” Nixon said.

“Each year we will look to find new and exciting places and things to incorporate into our limited edition trips,” Nixon said.

This comes off the back of Peregrine Adventures news that they will operate the world’s first carbon neutral cruises.
