Midweek Interview with TravelManagers’ Rheina Balayo

Midweek Interview with TravelManagers’ Rheina Balayo

This week, we took TravelManagers Australia accounts support Rheina Balayo, for a quick run in the park. Well, technically we were chasing her for an interview, but still.

The challenge for the industry is…

Ensuring that our clients recognise the value in receiving personal service from ptms with extensive knowledge and experience, compared with making their own bookings online.

The things I like about my job…

Is that TRAVELMANAGERS believes in me, which gives me the confidence to take on new tasks within my role.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…

I would be working in the banking industry

Favourite airline?

Singapore Airlines

My proudest moment was…

When I moved to Australia nine years ago – it was the beginning of leading an independent life

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

After an extended duration of partying, I ended up in the hospital with dehydration (the good old teenage days!)

I try to relax by…

By listening to my favourite music

The last time I feared for my life was…

Three years ago, I was on a famil in Bangkok when the terrorist bombing took place.

I really wish I had…

I had my mom beside me. she’s a businesswoman and prefers to stay in the philippines to manage her business – i can’t wait until she retires.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…

Was from my mom. whatever you do, good or bad, people will always have something negative to say about you and that’s life. so go on – do whatever makes you happy, because at the end of the day that’s what matters.

My greatest weakness is…

Is my mom.

And my greatest strength is…

Is my mom too, love her endlessly!

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…

I would definitely give back to my home country – perhaps some new classrooms for kids that are less fortunate.

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

Iceland to see the Northern Lights
