Midweek Interview with Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Linda Seiersen

Midweek Interview with Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Linda Seiersen

This week, we sat Linda Seiersen, business development manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, down for a chat with our friends and family. Then we realised it was an intervention. Oops.

The challenge for the industry is…

In terms of Sydney remaining viable as a cruise destination, it has to be berthing space.

The things I like about my job…

Everything! I am gregarious by nature, so the opportunity to interact with our lovely trade partners daily is a bonus.

And the frustrations are…

The usual, being time poor.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…

Sad..

Favourite airline?

Why the flying kangaroo of course.

My proudest moment was…

Having my two beautiful children.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

How much time do you have..?

I try to relax by…

Walking my pooch, it is the best way to reach equilibrium.

The last time I feared for my life was…

In a taxi in Shenzen, observing traffic rules appears to be optional there.

If I can, I always try to avoid…

A taxi ride in Shenzen ;).

I really wish I had…

More time to spend at leisure with the people who matter the most in my life.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…

Enjoy your children, they’re only on loan.

I don’t understand why people…

Discriminate, there’s space for all of us in this big world.

My greatest weakness is…

A cheeky French rose and having too much fun.

And my greatest strength is…

A cheeky French rose with friends (and too much fun).

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…

Make it go around.

If I was prime minister I would…

Go back and look at the bigger picture instead of the daily jockeying just to stay in power.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a…

Concert pianist, artist, singer, really anyone with a God-given talent.

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

The southern part of France for a simple canal cruise.

My favourite holiday was…

Russia, such a beautiful and diverse country with an amazingly fascinating history.
