The challenge for the industry is… continuing to define the value we provide our customers.

The things I like about my job… Working across all segments of the travel industry which provides great diversity.

And the frustrations are … the usual first world problems.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be… I would have loved to been a naval architect

Favourite airline? The one that gets me to where I need to be on time!

My proudest moment was… both daughters conquering surfing.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… too many to name.

I try to relax by… spending time at the beach

The last time I feared for my life was… parachuting – which was a present from my family!?

If I can, I always try to avoid… 5am domestic flights.

I really wish I had… taken a gap year and worked in London.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… listen and learn.

I don’t understand why people… stand up as soon as the plane lands.

My greatest weakness is … red wine and cheese.

And my greatest strength is… being decisive.

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would… donate it to Bear Cottage, the only dedicated child hospice in Australia.

If I was prime minister I would… appoint a dedicated tourism minister given the economic benefit tourism provides our economy.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… a Ferrari Formula 1 driver

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Bhutan

My favourite holiday was… South America – such a diverse continent
