Luxperience sashays into Sydney

Sydney is about to get a whole lot more luxurious this week, with Luxperience 2015 kicking off last night.

The exhibition opened in style at Sydney Town Hall last night with a Thought Leaders Forum and Welcome Cocktail Party for more than 500 attendees.

The invitation-only business forum connects the world’s most exclusive travel providers dealing in luxury and experiential travel, and is the only one of its kind in the Australasia and Pacific region.

Respected media personality Jacinta Tynan was the MC at last night’s opening event, and guests heard fascinating insights from speakers including Anouche Newman from the Customer Service Institute of Australia; award-winning cinematographer Corey Baudinette from LUXHD, and digital marketing expert Dr Matthew McDougall of Digital Jungle.

Expert from the meetings and conventions arena, Anne Candy from Signature by Anne Candy, Ilana Den of Cc Conferences and Corporate Events, and Melissa Bajugi from Sydney Town Hall treated guests to an inspiring debate on the paradoxical perceptions of high cost events.

Luxperience attendees were also presented with the initial, fascinating findings of the latest trends, opportunities and challenges facing the luxury travel industry uncovered in research initiated by Luxperience with respected market research specialists, MyTravelResearch.com.

Today, it’s down to business as Luxperience exhibitors and buyers gather at the Australian Technology Park for the first day of appointments.

More than 30,000 meetings are set to take place over the 3.5 day event and each attendee’s appointment schedule can be accessed through the new LUXE Concierge App, which includes personal travel itineraries and a playful guide to Sydney’s hotspots.

TV personality and travel guru Tom Williams, former presenter of Channel Seven’s The Great Outdoors, will play host at the Luxperience Gala Event, incorporating the inaugural Luxperience Awards on Tuesday September 8.

The prestigious awards will acknowledge excellence in the development and promotion of the finest products that the luxury travel industry has to offer – judged by an esteemed panel of travel industry experts.

Winners will be announced in front of over 500 guests at the glittering Luxperience Gala Dinner and Awards Evening on the rooftop of The Star, with views over Sydney Harbour.
