Key aviation executives at CAPA Aviation Summit
Key aviation industry executives will converge on Brisbane this August to debate and discuss the strategic issues facing the region’s airline, airport and corporate travel industries for the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit.
It is the fourth annual CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, with attendees including Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Jetstar Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, Etihad Airways CEO Peter Baumgartner, Garuda Indonesia CEO Arif Wibowo, Air India CMD Ashwani Lohani, Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin, Tigerair Australia CEO Rob Sharp and Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Karl Schuster.
The Summit, to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 3-5 August, will be hosted by Brisbane Marketing in conjunction with Foundation Partners, Brisbane Airport Corporation and K&L Gates.
Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said he was delighted that aviation’s key figures would make their way to Brisbane for high-level discussions involving the region’s airline, airport and corporate travel industries.
“This is a great opportunity for delegates to network with key decision-makers in Brisbane and discover our New World City’s aviation, travel and tourism credentials,” Graham said.
“Brisbane now attracts more than one million international visitors annually and delegates will be able to find out why Brisbane is becoming an increasingly important tourism destination.”
Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) CEO and managing director, Julieanne Alroe said, “BAC is incredibly proud to be co-hosting this important Summit which provides a unique opportunity to showcase our city and state’s world class facilities, services and attractions to key decision makers in the aviation industry.
“The way local government and business is working together to leverage Brisbane and Queensland on the world stage is one of the key reasons events such as this Aviation Summit are attracted to Brisbane.
