Iceland celebrates its ridiculous language

Young adventurist couple hugged while gazing in the dark night sky under the spectacular celestial lights Aurora Borealis, which makes Iceland popular spot for tourist willing to witness one of the greatest natural phenomenon. Shot with Canon EOS, wide angle lens, f2.8, long exposure.

Iceland is not afraid of poking fun of itself through wacky tourism campaigns, and its latest is no different.

in an attempt to cajole travellers to visit the far off, unworldly destination, Tourism Iceland approached unsuspecting travellers and asked them to sing the “world’s hardest karaoke song”.

The results are priceless.

Travellers from across the globe are left dumbfounded while trying to grapple with the strange, at times elfish sounding song.

While the clip is hilarious, conversations of overtourism in Iceland are already being had, as the relatively unexplored country has experienced a tourism boom in recent years.

Thanks to Game of Thrones being filmed in the country, Iceland has witnessed an influx of tourists and some are already calling for restrictions on some areas of the Northern Atlantic island.

Similar discussion is being had in Croatia, a country which has had its tourism industry explode recently, with some claiming Game of Thrones is also partially to blame for the influx.
