The America’s Historic Mid-Atlantic tour transports guests back through time with stays at three of the most historic luxury hotels in all of America: the Omni Shoreham Hotel, the Omni Homestead Resort and The Jefferson.

The tour begins in Washington D.C., where guests will marvel at the lavish interiors and recount the glamour and prestige of the past at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, which over the years has hosted stars such as Judy Garland, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Joe Di Maggio and numerous American presidents, most recently Barack Obama.

The next destination on the Mid-Atlantic tour is the magnificent Omni Bedford Springs Resort. Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania, this 200-year-old national historic landmark has hosted 13 American Presidents in its time, including George Bush and Ronald Reagan.

From here, guests will travel to Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic architectural masterpiece built over running water and enveloped by lush forestry.

During their two-night stay at the breathtaking 250-year-old Omni Homestead Resort, travellers can choose between a scenic bike ride or a trip to the nearby mineral-rich hot springs. The trip ends with two nights at one of America’s grandest hotels, The Jefferson in Richmond, Virginia.

Collette’s Historic Hotels of New England tour includes a stay at a historic hotel in each of the four New England states of Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire, with visits to a range of historical and cultural highlights along the way.

The tour begins with two nights at the opulent and iconic Boston Park Plaza, which has been a favourite among American presidents since its establishment in 1927.

Here in the captivating capital of Massachusetts, travellers can choose between a panoramic tour of the city or a walking tour of the Freedom Trail, which weaves its way through downtown Boston past 16 historically significant locations and landmarks.

Another tour highlight is a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum, where travellers will have time to enjoy lunch and marvel at the work of this beloved American artist before heading on to the idyllic Equinox Resort & Spa in Manchester, Vermont. From here, travellers will visit Hildene, the historical Lincoln family home, and the picturesque village of Woodstock.

Travellers spend two nights at the majestic Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire, taking in the stunning surrounds of the White Mountains and the Presidential Range. Here, guests are treated to a Diner’s Choice dinner, meaning they can choose where to eat their included meal from a number of restaurants located within the resort.

On the final leg of the New England tour, travellers can explore the picturesque lighthouses of Portland, including the oldest lighthouse in Maine and the most photographed in America, the Portland Head Light.
