Hotel Review: Villa Karishma, Umalas, Bali

The area of Umalas has an inland quiet village vibe with between Seminyak and Canggu.

Villa Karishma is one of the larger villas in the area, offering guests a genuine six bedroom option and therefore ideal for large groups.

ROOMS 7/10

The sheer volume of bedrooms is the primary attraction. The master, on the first floor, is huge. Also on the first floor is a kids room with two singles and bean bags that little ones will enjoy – although the styling of the room is a little raw. Meanwhile the other rooms are functional with nice appointments. There are two rooms overlooking the swimming pool and a further two bedrooms on the ground floor of the main building.

SERVICE 8/10

As is the way in Bali, the staff are often a highlight and that was certainly the case in Villa Karishma. Many of them have been working at this villa for years and their commitment to ensuring the guests are happy is clear.

FACILITIES 6/10

Aside from the pool, facilities here are a little more homelier than the average hotel. The property has enjoyed a recent renovation and many of the furnishings are new.

VALUE FOR MONEY 7/10

Bookable via https://www.ministryofvillas.com/villas/villa-karishma/, rates start at US690 a night and the value kicks in when splitting the cost amongst large groups.

Travel agents can book and earn commission via www.ministryofvillas.com.
