Hotel Review: Villa Da Vinci, Canggu, Bali

Hotel Review: Villa Da Vinci, Canggu, Bali

Ostentatious living is what Villa Da Vinci is all about. If you have two families that want to holiday together in Bali’s hippest suburb or Canggu, this could be the place that answers all your prayers.

ROOMS 8/10

The villa is massive. Split across three levels, two families can easily stay here together and not feel like they’re living on top of one another – although with the split levels they technically will be. Both the ground floor and first floor have their own sprawling kitchens and two bedrooms that can accommodate four people, with the capacity across the entire villa set for eight. Everything is finished to a very high standard.

SERVICE 7/10

Onsite there is a house maid and security that maintain the villa, clean and prepare the daily breakfasts. A villa manager is also available on call to deal with more complicated requests but on the whole, guests staying here will need to be a little more self-sufficient. Meals can be prepared if requested, although given the range of restaurants just five minutes away on Batu Balong, you’d have to be feeling very attached to a night in to justify it.

FACILITIES 9/10

It’s no exaggeration to say that plenty of hotels have fewer facilities than Villa Davinci. Featuring a massive swimming pool, Villa Da Vinci also offers a spa, pool table, in-house gym and even a karaoke machine – as well as all the usual expectancies of modern living such as TVs in bedrooms, wifi, sound systems and the like.

VALUE FOR MONEY 8/10

Bookable via https://www.ministryofvillas.com/villas/villa-da-vinci/, rates start at US$466 a night. For larger families or groups, the value this provides can’t be overlooked when divided between five to eight guests.

OVERALL 8/10

Facilities, sheer scale and proximity to Bali’s coolest hippest hipster street, Batu Bolong, mean that Villa Davinci is definitely a property to bear in mind for fashion conscious clients with that are travelling in larger numbers.
