Hawaiian Airlines appoints first head of industry sales for Australia

Hawaiian Airlines has announced the appointment of Andrew Best to the newly created position of head of industry sales for Australia.

The appointment comes as the airline realigns its regional strategy to expand focus on trade and industry partnerships throughout Australia.

Best was previously a national account manager for Hawaiian Airlines, and prior to joining the carrier, had over 20 years of business development experience with domestic and international airlines and travel companies in Australia.

Hawaiian Airlines’ regional director for Australasia, Andrew Stanbury, said: “The appointment of a dedicated head of industry sales highlights the importance of our trade partners and our intention to dedicate resources to focus on mutual opportunities.

“Australia is a key offshore market for Hawaiian Airlines in terms of visitors to Hawaii and increasingly to the 13 US mainland markets we serve.

“With an expanded Hawaii and US domestic network and fleet developments including the 787 Dreamliner, we intend to work closely with our trade partners to realise future opportunities.”
