Guess who’s back? Daydream Island reopens soon!

Australia’s most loved resort is back and better than ever.

Daydream Island is reopening with a soft launch on 10 April unveiling a new look resort with delicious signature dining concepts, relaxed bars and suites with breathtaking views. Not to mention their iconic Living Reef which features an underwater observatory and education centre.

After undergoing a whopping $100 million redevelopment, the new 4.5-star premium resort is set to become a tropical haven for romantics, families and groups.

The resort offers loads of island fun for all ages, including kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling, helicopter rides, sailing and jet skiing, plus a revitalised pool landscape to lounge around, 24-hour gym facilities and a kid’s club to take care of the little ones while you relax.

Think immersive and intimate settings inspired by the unique landscapes, flora and fauna surrounding the island. Daydream Island will be the go-to destination for your clients who need to get away from it all and unwind into island life.

With 277 refurbished contemporary suites and rooms, your clients can take their pick of garden, pool or ocean views to relax in after a day taking luxuriating by the pool or making the most of all the great activities on offer.

The reopening will also see the launch of three distinct signature dining offerings including Infinity, Graze Interactive Dining and Inkstone Kitchen and Bar. With dishes ranging from Asian fusion to modern Australian, and live cooking demonstrations, there’s sure to be something even the fussiest eaters will enjoy. There are also three new bars including the Barefoot Bar for those seeking a cocktail by the pool and Tonic for those looking for something a little more intimate.

Following extensive research in conjunction with global brand agency Interbrand, the island’s rebrand delves into the Island’s past, its people and vision for the future, with one activation giving the resort’s loyal Facebook following the chance to take part in the transformation by sharing their cherished memories about the resort.

The rebrand breathes new life into the destination, as it concludes its journey of recovery from the devastation caused in 2017 by Cyclone Debbie.

“We wanted the new brand to signal the evolution of the Island,” Jayson Heron, Director of Sales and Marketing said.

“The new brand gives a nod the Island’s heritage whilst also looking to the future.”

Daydream Island is currently taking bookings from 10th April 2019 onwards, to book go here.
