Get ya Women in Travel entries in before time runs out!

Get ya Women in Travel entries in before time runs out!

Heads up: we know it’s a short week and today feels like Thursday, but it’s not! It’s Friday! And before you head to to the pub this arvo (or after for extra creative flair) you should definitely, 100 per cent get started on your Women in Travel entry.

Why? Because the weekend is the perfect time to get sh*t done! And if you’re planning on submitting your entry today, well, we all know Friday afternoons are complete write-offs anyway, right?

You can enter here, BTW.

ICYMI, Women in Travel entries are closing next Wednesday 11 April at 5pm, so you better get your ducks in a row before then, or miss winning an award of the year.

Some other things you’ll miss are praise, affection, a fine-looking trophy, jealous looks from your colleagues who didn’t enter, a sense of self-achievement, bragging rights and more praise.

See?! And, in case you were unaware of how winning works, you have to enter first. Duh.

You don’t have to be a CEO or the best in your biz, you just have to believe in yourself! There are also a ton of categories to enter – and you can enter more than one and make your chances better!

That inspirational gif really should have done the trick, but take a look at the categories anyway:

1. Employer of the Year
2. Social Media
3. Road and Rail
4. Retail
5. Corporate
6. Rising Star of the Year
7. Marketer of the Year
8. Mentor of the Year
9. PR of the Year
10. Sales Person of the Year
11. Wholesale
12. Cruise
13. Aviation
14. Tourism Board
15. Technology
16. Hotel
17. Entrepreneur of the Year
18. Male Champion of Change

These awards recognise exceptional women who have achieved astronomic success in their professional arenas and celebrates their invaluable contribution through their leadership, innovation and courage to the travel industry.

If you’re in the travel industry, this could be you! Enter right here .

But since we know women sometimes have a harder time putting themselves forward, we’ve even set up a handy nomination system for those women who are just too damn humble to admit they deserve an award. So nominate either yourself and/or one of your fabulous, hard-working friends right here.

Now, you have the weekend to go over your entry, make sure it’s perfect and submit! That, or you can wait until next week at the very last minute and submit it in a teary panic.

And no one wants that.

Not to drill it into your brain, but entries will close next Wednesday 11 April at 5pm.

So if you’ve already started your entry, finish it this weekend!

And if you haven’t started, you should probably get on that. We’re not nagging, we swear.

This years awards will be held on June 21 at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf.

All other info can be found on the Women in Travel website here – but to lock yourself in, grab yourself an early bird ticket right here.

Massive shout out to all our sponsors who keep making this event happen every year!
