Forget Staycations, it’s time for ‘Nakations’

Trivago.com not only gave us the charismatic girl in the latest round of ads, but now it’s gone ahead and gifted us with all the cheeky spots travellers go to get their kit off.

That’s right, ‘nakations’, or naked vacations, are a real thing, and it covers everything from adult ‘playgrounds’ to swingers workshops. But don’t google these places while at work – trust us, you’ll get some awkward looks from your colleagues.

Trivago analysed data on its travellers’ favourite hotels, then whittled it down to see which hotels are most popular for sunbaking minus all the tan lines. Get it?

The site also rated the level of raunchiness for each place so you have a better idea of what to expect when you visit – or where to stay away from when booking hotels.

We don’t know what’s in the water in Mexico, but if you’re a swinging nudist it’s certainly the place to be.

Check out their list here:

Desire Resort & Spa Riviera: Puerto Morelos, Mexico

nak

Trivago rates this place an 8/10 for raunchiness, with the all-inclusive couples only retreat coming complete with your own four-person jacuzzi if you fancy inviting some newfound friends round after dinner.

The resort is about 20-mintues from Cancun, and also offers a ‘Playroom’, provocatively themed entertainment, and a Fantasy Menu if there’s anything else you… desire.

Hotel Montmartre Mon Amour: Paris, France

fran

Scoring a 4/10 on Trivago’s raunch spectrum, this place comes with your expected French elegance.

The Montmartre district is famous for kinky nightclubs, peep shows, and of course the world-renowned Moulin Rouge.

The hotel calls itself ‘an ode to famous lovers’, with rooms inspired by the likes of Edith Piaf and Jean-Paul Sartre, and room packages known as ‘The Essential’, which includes rose petals, champagne and a mysterious ‘love box’. In-room massages are also high on the requests list.

Turtle Cove Beach Resort: Cairns, Australia

Coming in with a 6/10 for saucy sentiments is good old Cairns in Australia. Wedged in between the Great Barrier Reef in Wangetti and the pristine Daintree Rainforest, this resort is a clothing-optional kind of place. It’s also Australia’s only LGBT resort.

Couples can soak in a heated jacuzzi at any time of the day or night, enjoy suites overlooking the Coral Sea, and relax in the Massage Spa.

Desire Pearl: Puerto Morelos, Mexico

 hotel

Woah, Mexico, you sexy thing! Nabbing a saucy 9/10 from Trivago, this hotel comes with a Fantasy Menu that goes as far as letting you hire a professional videographer to film a little bedroom fun.

There’s a Play Room where guests can get to know each other on the swing or in the love bed, while enjoying champers and chocolate strawberries. And if you’re feeling up for it, guests can try their hand at pole dancing or enjoy a couples massage that includes everything from edible oils to a Kamasutra kit. Wow.

Hedonism II: Negril, Jamaica

jamaica

This four-star, adults-only resort where clothing is not compulsory scored a 6/10 with Trivago, probably thanks to the adult-themed entertainment and the ‘Romping Shop’, where couples and singles alike can participate in a ‘mingling experience’. We’ll leave the rest to your imagination.

Hidden Beach Resort — Au Naturel Club: Cancun, Mexico

Back in Mexico where nakations are seemingly the only kind of vacations, and Hidden Beach Resort has scored 7/10 from Trivago.

Everything is done in your starkers at this resort, from bars to dining and even a disco. Seriously. Guests can chill out in the jacuzzi, hang out on the private beach or indulge in an afternoon nap under the thatched-roof gazebos.
