TMS Welcomes Giulia Giovagnoli to Sydney office
TMS Talent welcomes the newest member of their expanding empire to the Sydney office Giulia Giovagnoli. Originally from the UK, Giulia grew up in the hospitality industry with parents owning hotels and bars in the UK & Europe.
She worked within these hotels and in the travel industry for the Travel Corporation. Giulia has completed a degree in International Tourism Management at Leeds Beckett University in the UK graduating with first class Honours.
“I am extremely excited about working with TMS Talent. I am looking forward to learning about the incredible tourism organisations within Australia and building relationships with both job seekers and clients and being able to help people further develop their careers.”
Hannah Taylor joins Wendy Wu Tours as new business development manager
Wendy Wu Tours, Australia’s leading Asia tour operator is thrilled to announce the appointment of Hannah Taylor to the role of Business Development Manager, VIC.
Hannah joins the Wendy Wu Tours Business Development Team with over 18 years’ experience in the travel industry. Her most recent position as Sales Manager for Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, saw continuous sales growth and the development of the River Cruising brand.
Hannah brings with her a wealth of experience with prior roles including Corporate Sales Executive at Singapore Airlines and before that Destination Specialist at Down Under Answers. Hannah has gained valuable insights into the industry and essential sales skills to build meaningful relationships with our trade partners.
Speaking on her appointment, Hannah said “I am so excited to be joining Wendy Wu Tours and the sales team. I am looking forward to using my industry knowledge to work with agents to get the best outcomes for their clients.”
National Sales Manager, Tamba Lebbie was also delighted on her appointment saying “I am thrilled to welcome Hannah to Wendy Wu Tours and our team. Hannah brings with her an exceptional level of experience and knowledge and we are all excited to work with her and achieve even better results”.
Choice Hotels Asia-PAC appoints general manager – marketing
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, one of the largest hotel franchise groups in Asia Pacific, has announced that Kari Hunter has joined the organisation as its new General Manager – Marketing.
In this role, Ms Hunter will be responsible for directing the marketing strategy and raising the brand profile for all of the Choice Hotels brands in the Asia Pacific region including the Ascend Hotel Collection, Clarion, Quality, Comfort and Econo Lodge.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Hunter said “I’m looking forward to working with the Choice Hotels team to grow our brand footprint and also support our franchisees by driving direct bookings and continuing to strengthen our customer loyalty program.
I’m also excited to have joined a leading company in the travel sector and one that is genuinely committed to the wellbeing of its employees which is demonstrated through a number of initiatives including weekly yoga sessions, stand up desks and monthly staff service and recognition awards.”
A travel and tourism specialist, Ms Hunter has more than 15 years’ marketing experience in the industry, most recently as General Manager of Marketing for the Belgravia Health and Leisure Group where she oversaw the marketing strategy and function across eight brands and more than 160 facilities.
Ms Hunter also has an impressive track record working with large franchise networks, having previously worked at BIG4 Holiday Parks in the role of General Manager – Marketing, Strategy and Sales for nine years. Her success in this role saw her being appointed as Acting CEO for six months during her tenure.
AccorHotels announces two senior appointments to Development Team
AccorHotels announces two key appointments to it Development Team as the Group gears up for the next exciting phase of its growth. Jeff Tisdall has been appointed as Senior Vice President Development Residential and Extended Stay, while Andrew Langdon will take on the role of Senior Vice President Development Asia, responsible for South East Asia, Japan & Korea. They will be members of the Global Development Co-Dir.
Both men come to these senior positions after joining AccorHotels through acquisitions. Jeff, whose current role is Vice President Residential Development International, came from FHRI in 2016. He has been instrumental in integrating the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel (FRS) residential pipeline and leveraging Accorhotels’ brands to further ramp up the pipeline. Andrew joins from Movenpick, where he was Global Chief Development Officer.
