Flat Earthers will travel to Antarctica to find ‘the end of the world’ by boat
A group of Flat Earthers is heading to Antarctica by boat to prove the Earth is not spherical, using navigation systems that count on the planet being a sphere.
On an odyssey to find the frozen barrier they believe marks the edge of our world, a group of flat Earth conspiracy theorists are planning a trip to Antarctica that would disprove “the space agencies of the world” who conspire to fake “space travel” to hide the Earth’s “biggest secret”.
The Earth is flat and concealed within a gigantic dome, like a snow globe, which contains all of the stars, planets and constellations in the sky. At least that is what a “big portion” of the Flat Earther community believe.
And wrapping this snow globe is a wall several hundred metres thick and 50 metres high, sealing in our flat Earth like an icy shore. It has not been specified whether white walkers, wildlings or giants are beyond the wall.
“If you take a globe and you squish it down, the Antarctic would go all the way around the Earth,” Flat Earth International Conference (FEIC) founder Robbie Davidson said. “It’s kind of like an ice shore, and it’s very, very large. It’s not like you just go there, and you can just peek over it.”
A general consensus by Flat Earthers is the idea that a round, spherical Earth is a theory NASA can use to dupe society along with governments to keep control.
“This likely began during the Cold War,” the Flat Earth Society said. “The USSR and USA were obsessed with beating each other into space to the point that each faked their accomplishments in an attempt to keep pace.”
After announcing they would launch their biggest and boldest adventure to date, reports that the Flat Earthers would travel by cruise had naysayers scratching their heads.
Considering nautical navigation is a system that counts on the Earth being flat, the news that the Flat Earthers will travel by boat is deliciously ironic.
Henk Keijer, a former cruise ship captain who sailed all over the globe during a 23-year career, told the Guardian the existence of GPS, which is used by cruise ships to get around, is proof alone that the Earth is round.
Around 24 main satellites orbiting the globe are used to provide navigation information required by GPS.
“The reason why 24 satellites were used is because on the curvature of the Earth,” Keijer said. “A minimum of three satellites are required to determine a position. But someone located on the other side of the Earth would also like to know their position, so they also require a certain number of satellites.
“Had the Earth been flat, a total of three satellites would have been enough to provide this information to everyone on Earth. But it is not enough, because the Earth is round.”

we use bubble stick to find the level and to do that we use water hence the wold is flat
People can believe the earth is flat if they want to. I will not deny them their beliefs regardless of how ludicrous it sounds. Just like with religious people. They can believe in whatever mumbo jumbo they please, as long as it does not affect me in any way.
Is it any sillier than believing there is a big guy hiding in the clouds ( or wherever ) watching everything we do ? Religion, flat earths – idiots !
Always uplifting to hear about the latest from the Flat Earthers. Belief is Belief, and they stick to it impressively.
However… This is not about them, but about your proofreader: Some stories, some lines have an extra special requirement to get right.
So (from the article):
“… Considering nautical navigation is a system that counts on the Earth being flat, the news that the Flat Earthers will travel by boat is deliciously ironic….”
HUH????….
Ye who know they believe nothing stupid whatsoever, can cast the first stone at flat-earthers.
