Contiki asks what will you do in 2017 that you’ll remember forever?

As curators of millennial social travel, making every moment count is core to the Contiki philosophy.

To celebrate long lasting travel memories, Contiki has asked one simple question – what will you do in 2017 that you’ll remember forever?

Starring in Contiki’s latest campaign, DJ Tigerlily and her 82-year old grandma get deep and meaningful when talking about how travel has created memories for a lifetime and changed their lives.

“I’ve always felt quite close with my Grandmother, which is special. I have many memories of being a little girl and her taking me on holidays! The first holiday away from my parents was actually with my Grandparents; they took me up on a road-trip to Coffs Harbour and we stopped off along the way to feed kangaroos and – of course – to see the Big Banana,” says Dara, aka DJ Tigerlily.

Ex Big Brother contestant and YouTube star, Jake Rich, and his Grandma (88 years old) also reunite for Contiki’s new campaign, agreeing that a “life without travel memories would be very dull.”

Contiki has also asked people of all ages, from all over the world, to share the year they’ll remember forever and the experience that made it so memorable. The result is a beautiful video with an impressive list of adventurers and risk takers armed with a thirst for life. We hear from Australia’s first astronaut Paul Scully-Power, who until now is the only person in space with a beard when he space travelled in 1984; and from fashion designer Sophie Burrows, for whom it all began in 2000 when at age 10 she stole her sister’s sewing machine.

Memories are made from the experiences you have. You know how to pack your 2017 with epic experiences? Travel. “Travel provides the opportunity for young people to have a multitude of new experiences in one hit,” says Katrina Barry, MD Contiki Australia. “Where you go, what you do and who you do it with will all add up to create epic memories. The more out of your comfort-zone, the more likely they’ll last a lifetime.”
