Scenic launches 2017/2018 China and Japan program
Scenic has launched its 2017 China and Japan program which includes the launch of six new itineraries featuring a number of new destinations plus a number of new Freechoice activities.
Adam Burke, Asia Journey Designer, commented: “We have seen huge growth in sales to China and Japan over the past year with all itineraries proving extremely popular. Japan’s cherry blossom season in particular has been popular resulting in us running additional departures. As such we have had to expand our portfolio and choice of itineraries along with a number of enhancements to the 2017/2018 program which we know will appeal to first time travellers and a slightly younger demographic. Plus to meet the demand there are new destinations to allow repeat guests to be a little more adventurous and discover even more of these fascinating countries.”
Scenic is offering Earlybird offers for bookings made by 30 November – included flights to China on journeys over 21 days offering a saving of up to $2,260 per couple; $1,100 per couple air credit on journeys to China between 12 and 20 days; and partner fly free to Japan – a saving of up to $1,385 per couple. Also this year there is a $200 early booking bonus and complimentary cabin upgrades on the Yangzi Explorer on most departures for new bookings made before 31 October 2016.
Scenic’s 2017/2018 Oriental Wonders of China & Japan brochure is out now.
Darwin to Japan with Silversea
World Journeys have released an exciting new Silversea cruise itinerary which takes in the natural wonders of the tropical islands of Indonesia, the lesser visited archipelagos of Micronesia and the wildlife rich islands of Japan.
The 27 day cruise from Darwin to Hakodate, Japan departs 26 May 2017 aboard the 120-guest Silver Discoverer expedition ship. Highlights include the teeming reefs of Raja Ampat, the fascinating culture of the Toraja, the beauty of Palau’s Rock Islands, historic WWII sites in the Marianas Islands, and Japan’s Ogasawara Islands, known as the ‘Galapagos of the Orient’. Cruising aboard the Silver Discoverer offers all ocean-view suites and plenty of deck space so that a breaching whale or pod of dolphins is always within sight. Her shallow draft allows her to navigate closer to share, and her fleet of 12 Zodiac craft allows landing on isolated shores, offering an up-close and in-depth experience.
Priced from $21,850 per person (share twin, Explorer Suite), this includes all excursions and activities with a highly qualified expedition team, all expedition gear, personalised on-board butler service, fine dining and select wines/spirits, free WIFI and on-board gratuities. Airfares are additional, and post-cruise extensions in Japan can be arranged. Book and pay in full by 30 June 2016 to enjoy a 10% saving.
Scenic guests can now fly to Europe from Newcastle
Scenic and its airline partner Singapore Airlines have announced that guests travelling from Newcastle can now start their 2017 luxury Europe river cruise by flying directly from Newcastle Airport (Williamtown) via Brisbane with codeshare partner Virgin Australia to selected European cities.
First time travellers and Gold members will receive unlimited complimentary car parking at Newcastle Airport for the duration of their trip with Scenic, and Platinum, Diamond and Emerald members plus those taking advantage of Scenic’s limited Diamond Deck Suite offer, may be eligible for complimentary limousine transfers.
Michelle Black, GM Sales & Marketing added: “We are delighted to be able to offer our Newcastle guests a way to negate the long journey to Sydney Airport next year. Travelling to Europe is a long journey in itself so we hope that by flying direct from Newcastle our guests will be able to relax and enjoy the start of their holiday.”
This offer applies to guests flying Economy Class on selected Scenic Europe and France River Cruises.
