Rydges Sydney Central set to upgrade with new rooms and ‘Urban Surry Hills’ design

The Schwartz-owned Rydges Sydney Central is about to undergo a chic new refurbishment as well as add two new floors of executive rooms and corner suites.

With its prime location near Central station and in the heart of Surry Hills’ trendy dining precinct, the hotel’s designers are incorporating a highly contemporary ‘Urban Surry Hills’ design into the new rooms, including a very innovative textured exposed-brick design for the bed-head and vibrant colours for lounges and chairs.

In all, 38 rooms and suites will be added to the hotel, bringing the total inventory to 309 rooms.

The new rooms will be constructed in the eastern wing on levels 5 & 6 above the existing swimming pool and around the current atrium.  During the project the pool, spa and sauna will receive a refresh an upgrade as well.

A feature of the upgrade will be the creation of four additional corner suites that take in the full Surry Hills ambience.

Ramada Hotel and Suites Queenstown Remarkables Park will be the sixth hotel in Ramada’s New Zealand portfolio and is scheduled to open in time for the 2016 American Express Queenstown Winter Festival (24 June – 3 July).

The four-story corporate and leisure hotel is designed by Auckland’s Studio 37 and developed by the highly-experienced developer, Robert Neil’s Safari Group.

The all-suites styled hotel offers guests a mix of well-appointed studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom king apartments, all with ensuite bathrooms, full kitchens and laundry facilities.

QUEST ST LEONARDS (37 of 52)Quest St Leonards officially announced its exclusive charity partnership – Heart of the Community Campaign – with the Kolling Foundation, committing to donate a total of $25,000 over the next year to the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH)’s fundraising body.

Supporting life-saving medical research, Quest St Leonards will make an initial donation of $5,000 to the Foundation followed by $1 per room night sold for the next twelve months.

In addition, the property has provided a prize of weekend accommodation for the Foundation to
auction off, and will also promote its various fundraising campaigns during the year, encouraging guests

New era for Sheraton Noosa as it rebrands to Sofitel

AccorHotels has signed a management agreement with owners of Noosa Pacific Hotel Pty Ltd, to take over operations of the iconic Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa and rebrand the property under its luxury Sofitel Hotels and Resorts brand.

The 176-suite resort is the premier hotel on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, with an unrivalled position on Noosa’s famous Hastings Street. The hotel will be rebranded to Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort from 13 June 2016.

Noosa Pacific Hotel Ltd. undertook an extensive, multimillion dollar renovation in 2013, which reinforced the hotel’s position as one of Australia’s leading leisure and conference resorts.

Sofitel will introduce the brand’s distinctive style, which blends local culture with the art of French living, celebrating the elements of design, gastronomy, culture, events and well-being.

 

MACq 01 launches official microsite and the first immersive look at the 114-suite hotel

Coming soon, the MACq 01 is set to open doors in mid-2017. The hotel will boast 114 rooms across several categories. The smallest room is 43m2 and the largest the largest room is huge at 105m2.
