Cunard Provides Inside Look at Queen Victoria Refurbishment
Cunard has unveiled more details of the new and refreshed features which will be offered on Queen Victoria following its refurbishment next month.
Scheduled for completion on June 4, 2017, some of the many highlights include a new exquisite lido sun deck as well as a stunning Winter Garden, refreshed and enhanced for guests looking to relax while enjoying some of the best views at sea.
The luxury British cruise line also offers an inside look at the Britannia Club Staterooms, Britannia Club Restaurant and five new luxurious Penthouse Suites.

Aft Lido Sun Deck: This stunning lounge space has been extended to provide guests with additional deck space. Britannia Club Staterooms: In a prime mid-ship location on decks 7 and 8, all staterooms have been upgraded and refreshed with newly-designed carpets featuring a contemporary geometric design as well as the addition of new soft furnishings. New flat screen TVs and, by popular request, tea and coffee making facilities, have also been added to upgrade the stateroom experience even further. The additional 43 balcony staterooms will be further enhanced with premium balconies and a nine-pillow concierge menu to ensure maximum comfort for guests on board.
Britannia Club Dining: The new Britannia Club restaurant has gone through a full interior re-design and will offer guests the flexibility to dine whenever they choose. Located in the space of the former chart room, the new restaurant will be built alongside the main Britannia restaurant on Deck 2.
Penthouse Suites: Five of Queen Victoria’s elegant Penthouse Suites have been completely redesigned to maximise space and luxury. Viking Cruises Partners With National Geographic
Viking cruises has been signed on to locally sponsor Nat Geo’s new series ‘Genius’, about Albert Einstein which began airing on Foxtel this week.

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE TAKES DELIVERY OF FIRST PURPOSE-BUILT SHIP FOR CHINA
Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of Norwegian Joy, the brand’s fifteenth ship and the first custom-designed for the Chinese cruise market, from MEYER WERFT during an on board ceremony in Bremerhaven, Germany.
At 167,725–gross-tonnes and accommodating 3,883 guests, Norwegian Joy is the second ship in the line’s Breakaway-Plus class and features an innovative design with amenities tailored to provide a “First Class at Sea” experience for Chinese guests with the elements of freedom and flexibility that Norwegian Cruise Line has become known for across the globe.
Following her delivery, Norwegian Joy will begin her journey to China, where she will be showcased through a grand inaugural port tour featuring one-day events at the ports of Singapore, Qingdao, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, as well as VIP partner cruises from Norwegian Joy’s home-ports of Shanghai and Beijing (Tianjin).
The ship will be christened in an exclusive star-studded event for honoured guests on June 27, led by her Godfather, the ‘King of Chinese Pop’, Wang Leehom.
TAUCK TO DOUBLE SMALL SHIP CRUISING
Tauck has announced plans to double its small ship cruising capacity within the next four years through strategic fleet expansion, deepened partnership programs and new itineraries.
Ponant, the French-owned cruise line, will debut four new luxury expedition yachts in 2018 and 2019.
As part of an expanded partnership, Tauck will leverage all four Ponant new builds starting with Le Lapérouse in summer 2018.

NEW CUBA CRUISE
Tauck Small Ship Cruising is adding a 10-day journey throughout Cuba departing 14, 23 and 28 December 2018 aboard the 3-masted schooner, Le Ponant.

MSC BELLISSIMA open for sale
MSC Voyagers Club clients can book early for prices including a Cirque du Soleil dinner and show experience. MSC Cruises – the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line announced today the opening of sales of MSC Bellissima.
For her inaugural season, the ship, which is the much-awaited sister ship to MSC Meraviglia, will set sail in the Western Mediterranean from March 2019.
Sales are initially open until 15th May 2017 exclusively for MSC Voyagers Club members, as one of the many benefits of the programme that rewards loyal MSC cruisers. Members have the opportunity to book first and receive included in their price a complimentary Cirque du Soleil at Sea dinner and show experience.

Luxury bed maker Savoir Beds handmade the bespoke mattresses and toppers especially for Silver Muse. The high quality mattresses offer a variation in support from soft to firm, customisable to guest preference.
Carefully fashioned at the Savoir workshop in Wales from top-quality natural materials, the mattresses feature nested pocket springs sandwiched between generous layers of lambswool, needled cotton, and curled hair which is hand-tufted to keep the contents in position.
