Plan A Cruise Month about to set sail
With only days to go to the start of the inaugural Plan A Cruise Month, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has revealed details of the great prize pool on offer to agents during the first ever month-long cruise promotion down under.
Throughout October, CLIA agent members will go in the draw for weekly prizes every time they make a deposited cruise booking, with four cruises and four double passes to the 2017 CLIA Cruise Industry Awards on offer.
Cruise prizes range from a luxury European river cruise to a short break, as well as an invitation to a ship christening in the US. Full details are now available online.
Royal Caribbean to call at the Kingdom of Tonga for the first time
Royal Caribbean International, the award-winning cruise company revolutionising the travel industry with its innovative ships, has announced Tonga as a brand new destination for its upcoming 2016/17 season.
Radiance of the Seas, nicknamed the “culinary ship” for her rich variety of onboard dining options, will call at the stunning Tongan ports of Vava’u on 12 December 2016 and Nuku’alofa on 13 December 2016 for the very first time.
The two new destinations will be part of a 13-night South Pacific, Fiji and Tonga journey. Fares start from $1,599 per person for an Oceanview Stateroom on the exotic cruise, which begins in Sydney on 3 December 2016 and calls at the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands, Suva and Lautoka in Fiji, as well as Tonga, before arriving in Auckland.

An Evening With Tim Rice’ to Debut on Seabourn Fleet
The world’s finest ultra-luxury cruise line, Seabourn, has announced an exclusive partnership with the acclaimed English musical theatre lyricist of Broadway, West End and film, Tim Rice.
‘An Evening with Tim Rice’ has been created exclusively for Seabourn and will debut on the line’s newest ship Seabourn Encore in early 2017. Australians will be among the first to enjoy the new production with Seabourn Encore spending its maiden summer cruising Australian waters from January to March 2017.
The curtain will then go up across the rest the fleet next year, culminating onboard the appropriately named Seabourn Ovation, which will launch in spring 2018.
