Emirates’ Hello 2018 special fares ending soon
The countdown is on to take advantage of Emirates’ second round of its New Year sale for both Economy and Business Class flights, giving Australians the chance to discover the very best the world has to offer.
The special fares are available across more than 100 destinations from Emirates’ global route network when booked before 23 January 2018.
Economy Class return fares begin at $1,049 to the Indian Subcontinent, $1,149 to the Middle East, $1,179 to Europe, $1,249 to the United Kingdom, $1,379 to Africa, and $1,449 to North America.
Business Class return fares begin at $5,819 to the Indian Subcontinent, $5,959 Europe, $6,059 to the Middle East, $6,229 to the United Kingdom, $6,679 to Africa, and $7,199 to North America.
London and Hong Kong next destinations for Singapore Airlines’ new A380 cabin products
Singapore Airlines (SIA) yesterday announced that London and Hong Kong will be the next destinations to be served by its newest Airbus A380 aircraft, featuring the Airline’s recently unveiled new cabin products.
Starting 16 February 2018, the aircraft will operate as SQ322 (Singapore-London) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From 17 February 2018 to 5 April 2018, it will operate as SQ305 (London-Singapore). With effect from 7 April 2018, the new aircraft are scheduled to operate as SQ317 (London-Singapore) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
British Airways Revamps Flagship Concorde Room
British Airways has revamped its flagship Concorde Room at London Heathrow Terminal 5, taking inspiration from the very best of British Design.
The refurbishment to the airline’s exclusive lounge included re-upholstering iconic pieces of furniture, and adding new feature pieces to the room, all of which are illuminated by hand-blown glass lighting with bone linen shades and ochre silk linings.
The terrace, which is so popular with travellers thanks to its position overlooking the runway, features luxurious sofas and new elegant loungers.
LATAM Airlines connects Peru’s principal tourist destinations with non-stop flights from Cusco
LATAM Airlines Peru announced that it will operate non-stop flights between Cusco and Pisco (Peru) from 14 June 2018 (subject to regulatory approval). The flight will operate on Thursday and Sunday on a seasonal basis until the end of November 2018, with tickets on sale from today.
“This is the third interregional route that LATAM has announced from Cusco this year and represents our commitment to improving connectivity in Peru as well as providing passengers with travel options and varied itineraries to suit their needs”, said Félix Antelo, General Manager, LATAM Airlines Peru.
Unprecedented network growth for the Hahn Air Group in 2017
Reporting network growth of over 16%, the year 2017 proved successful for the Hahn Air Group. Despite the challenging times for the industry, the distribution specialist integrated a total of 46 new carriers into its network of air, rail and shuttle partners, enabling them to be ticketed on the Hahn Air HR-169 document in over 190 markets.
To date, more than 350 partners take advantage of the group’s ticketing solutions that provide the missing links in airline distribution via Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) worldwide.
Finnair opening new route to Lyon, adding long-haul frequencies across Asia
Finnair has announced the opening of a new route to Lyon, France for the 2018/2019 European Winter.
Known for its gastronomy, historical landmarks and proximity to the French Alps, Lyon is the second largest metropolitan area in France.
Finnair Corporate Sales Manager Australia, Sanna Ruuskanen said Finnair would operate two weekly flights commencing 11 December 2018 on Tuesdays and Saturdays from its Helsinki hub to Lyon with an E90 aircraft, offering smooth connections to the carrier’s Asian network.
Qatar Airways Launches Its First Global Sales Promotion of 2018

SAA now offering free meal deals on Mango flights
Aussie passengers now travelling on an SAA ticket on the airline’s low-cost-carrier Mango on flights within South Africa can now take advantage of great value meal deals.
According to South African Airways Country Manager for Australasia, Tim Clyde-Smith, SAA-ticketed passengers will receive food and drinks to the value of 70 rand at no cost on production of an SAA boarding pass.
“Passengers who are travelling on a Mango flight but on an SAA ticket (with an 083 prefix on their boarding pass) will be offered in-flight refreshments up to that value,” Tim said.
