BIG FAT AIRLINE WRAP!

Air India joins fellow star alliance carriers at Heathrow Terminal 2, the Queen’s Terminal

Air India is the last Star Alliance member carrier to shift its operations at London Heathrow’s Airport from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2, in its long awaited relocation to the award-winning facility. A total of 24 Star Alliance airlines now operate from T2, which opened in June 2014, and Air India’s successful move to the Queen’s Terminal has now accomplished Heathrow’s long-term strategy to relocate all of its Star Alliance members under the same roof.

At present, the national airline of India offers two daily flights to Delhi and one daily flight to Mumbai, operating up to eight daily flights in and out of Heathrow in total with either Boeing 777 or Boeing 787 Dreamline aircraft.

Having served London for nearly seventy years, Jeffrey Goh, CEO Star Alliance, praises the move: “We are certain that the approximately 1,000 Air India passengers who will be using Terminal 2 every day will notice a significant improvement in their travel experience.”
