AFTA crowns NTIA winners

Kate Webster

This year’s night of nights, the National Travel Industry Awards, was held on Saturday night in Sydney, awarding the industry’s finest across 38 categories.

It was a winning night for Helloworld who cleaned up both the Best Travel Agency Group and Best Non-Branded Travel Agency Group categories. Helloworld Hunter Travel Group/RACT Travel also won the Best Travel Agency Retail-Multi Location category.

For the airlines, Virgin Australia took the prize for Best Domestic Airline, while the Best International Airline (on-line) was won by Emirates, with Finnair taking out Best International Airline (off-line) category for the fourth year running.

Sponsored by International Traveller, the People’s Choice Retail Travel Agency of the Year was won by a very excited Queanbeyan City Travel & Cruise.
